Nature's Bounty Powerhouse Smoothie

This smoothie is a powerhouse of vitamins and minerals, especially if you throw in one or more of the add ins. It's already full of vitamin C, iron, potassium, manganese, phytochemicals..... Add maca to improve fertility, chia to improve digestion, or linseed to help with symptoms of the menopause or protect against a number of cancers, including prostate. Hemp seeds provide a more digestible form of protein that dairy, meat or eggs, plus all its other benefits as a superfood. One way or the other it's a great start to the day for all the family.


Serves: 2-4 Preparation time: 2 minutes Blending time: 2-3 minutes


Ingredients:

1 banana 1 kiwi (peeled) A handful of spinach leaves 1 avocado 1 clementine

1 cup of raspberries 1/2 kiwi, sliced 1.5 cups of water



Optional add ins:

1 tbsp of Flax/linseed

1 tbsp of beetroot powder

1 tbsp of hemp seeds

1 tbsp of maca powder

1 tbsp of chia seeds


1. Blend all the ingredients together until smooth.

2. Line the bottom of the glass with slices of kiwi, then fill with the smoothie and top with a few raspberries and a sprig of mint or basil.
